My Therapeutic Approach

In our sessions, I utilise a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions, carefully tailored to each young person's and family's unique circumstances. My approach begins with deeply understanding the individual or family before me, acknowledging their specific mental health challenges, behavioural concerns, and family dynamics. This personalised understanding forms the foundation from which we explore and identify the most beneficial strategies and interventions for their needs.

Through a psychoeducational approach, I aim to empower young people and families with the knowledge and tools they need to cultivate emotional wellbeing and healthy family relationships. This involves addressing underlying trauma, challenging negative thought patterns, learning effective communication and coping strategies, and fostering a culture of self-reflection, personal growth, and mutual understanding within the family unit.

By supporting families to develop healthier patterns of interaction and emotional regulation, we can break free from destructive cycles and create lasting, meaningful connections based on mutual respect, understanding, and genuine care for one another's wellbeing.
